What is MyMedicare?

MyMedicare is a new voluntary government program that aims to formalise the relationship between you, your GP and your primary care team. My Medicare allows you to formally register with your usual general practice and your preferred GP.

The significance of MyMedicare

MyMedicare aims to strengthen this vital partnership between patients and their healthcare team and promote continuity of care with your GP. Continuity with your regular GP is associated with fewer hospital admissions and presentations to emergency departments. Your GP will become familiar with your medical history, allowing tailored care and better diagnosis and treatment.

How do I Register?

• Via your Medicare Online Account or Express Plus Mobile App & our practice staff will accept the registration on the MyMedicare System
• Fill in a registration form at Ashby Street Medical Centre
